Madness
Is it just me or is spending yet more money on the Olympic games when the National health service is in tatters and people are dying for lack of beds, equipment, nurses, and doctors. Just a little too much like going on the piss with your pals instead of buying the medicine for your sick child.

Essentially I agree with you.
However, when I had a budget at college I used to spend money evry year sending a few students on a week's course in London.
Colleague Jack used to berate me saying I should buy more test tubes or similar.
It's probably to do with morale or getting a buzz or something.
I take your point, I just wish I had twelve million or whatever to spend on my morale which is at a low ebb at the mo.
